About Dana Cusato

I am a doula to both mother and baby, specializing in physiological home birth. I help women heal their own birth imprints so they can step confidently into their birth sovereignty. I believe that we must repair any past traumas or birth experiences and be educated on all sides of the birth world to truly make informed, aligned choices. Working at this level provides the opportunity for mother and baby to have an empowered birth experience and solidify their bond, setting a strong foundation for life. 

I was unable to find solutions through the medical system during a long journey with chronic Lyme disease in my teens and twenties. I sought answers within the body in other ways and went back to the very beginning, which is birth. This experience guided me to the particular work I do now. I utilize the modalities of Craniosacral, Somatic Healing, Inner Child Work and Birth Imprint Healing, drawing on my knowledge of pre and perinatal psychology. These methods are supportive and empowering to the whole system.

Healing and prenatal sessions are offered in SLO County and virtually. My work supports women through conscious conception, birth and postpartum, addressing the levels of the nervous system, tissues, subconscious and familial field. The process is led from beginning to end by the innate intelligence of the birthing woman and her child.
